First wave of ESC tickets sell out in minutes
A total of 42.645 tickets for the live shows and preview shows were up for grabs on Wednesday evening - the first chance fans had to get their hands on tickets. Tickets for the live shows sold out in just seven minutes, while tickets for the preview shows sold out in 20 minutes.
According to organisers, the first wave of sales proceeded smoothly. “We were overwhelmed by the huge demand and the smooth technical process of booking… It is moving to see how much the Eurovision Song Contest inspires people in our country and all over the world. We can feel how people are looking forward to this year’s event in Basel,” Reto Peritz and Moritz Stadler, co-executive producers of the Eurovision Song Contest in Basel, said via a press release.
More Eurovision tickets to go on sale in coming months
Fans who were unlucky in the first sale will be pleased to know that more tickets will be released “in the coming months”. The exact dates for the next sales have not yet been announced, but ESC said that they will be announced “in good time”.
Tickets are also now on sale for Arena Plus, a large public viewing event at the St. Jakob-Park stadium in Basel, where 36.000 fans will gather to watch the Grand Final on Saturday, May 17, accompanied by a live pre-show.
The Eurovision Contest kicks off on May 11, 2025 with the opening ceremony. The semi-finals will take place on May 13 and 15.
