Swiss school spends 6.000 francs on job ad but gets no applications
A school in Switzerland has spent 6.000 Swiss francs on a professional advertisement, hoping to attract four new staff members to their team. Unfortunately, Schulhaus Käferholz in Zurich is yet to receive a single application for the vacancies.
Jobs at Zurich school have already been advertised for two weeks
Despite the investment in the professional video, two weeks have passed since the video's public release and the open vacancies have had no applications. The promo video, which cost 6.000 Swiss francs and was filmed on-site at the school, has already been viewed more than 5.000 times.
In an interview with Swiss newspaper 20 Minuten, the headmaster of the school Aaron Schnyder said that the costly measure was necessary in order to attract new teachers. Schnyder told the newspaper that it is extremely difficult to find adequately qualified staff, and since the positions must be filled by the beginning of the new school year in August, the school decided to invest in a professional video to try to attract talented applicants - alas, to no avail.
