Hallomania 2024
Treasure hunts, workshops, wine tastings and wizardry all get a Halloween makeover for Hallomania this October and November. With 16 events spread across the canton and city of Geneva, it's the season to get spooky with the family! Here are a few of the events that are happening:
Halloween Costume Parade through Geneva Old Town
- October 31 and November 2
Get your costume on and stalk through the alleys of the Old Town of Geneva by candlelight, on a tour into the depths of a dark and merciless city. This walk into the darkest heart of Geneva's past is recommended for teenagers and adults, and lasts about 90 minutes.
On the trail of the Maccabees thief: a Halloween investigation in Geneva
- October 31
During this Halloween period, the Old Town of Geneva is plunged into anguish after a daring burglary. The sacred treasure of the Chapel of the Maccabees has disappeared, leaving behind only a few cryptic clues. Will you be able to solve this enigma and capture the thief before it is too late?
Delve into the heart of Geneva for a captivating investigation where every alleyway can reveal a lead, and every corner can hide a crucial clue. With a confidential file in hand, you will be equipped with all the tools necessary to track down the bandit and unravel his mysteries: UV pen, filter decoder, and other ingenious detective gadgets.
This Halloween investigation is recommended for those over 10 years old.
Halloween Chocolate Workshop
- October 26, 31 and November 2
To celebrate Halloween, Procope Bean to Bar invites you to enter its production space where you can create your own chocolate ghost. Guided by the chocolatier roaster, you will discover all the stages of transformation, from the cocoa bean to the melted chocolate.
While your ghost hardens, you will have the opportunity to taste an exceptional hot chocolate, as well as a selection of varied chocolates, including the famous Grué. A real fireworks display for the taste buds, where each tasting is a discovery! At the end of the workshop, you leave with your chocolate ghost, a delicious souvenir of an unforgettable experience rich in learning.
The chocolate workshop is recommended for ages seven and up.
Candy hunt, cooking workshop and wine tasting
- November 3
Head out of the city to the Domaine de la Devinière in Peissy where treats rather than tricks are the order of the day, with a daytime candy hunt in the vineyards, a special Halloween cooking workshop for children and a wine tasting for adults.
