easyJet to offer direct flights from Switzerland to 4 new destinations

From this winter, easyJet will be offering four brand new routes too and from airports in Switzerland. Travellers from Zurich, Geneva, Basel and the rest of the country will soon be able to visit the north of England, Norway and France with greater ease than ever before.

easyJet to launch Zurich - Manchester flight

In a statement, easyJet revealed that it would be adding four new destinations to its route network too and from Switzerland from the winter of 2024. First, the airline will begin direct flights between Manchester and Zurich from November 4. With SWISS being the only other airline to fly the route, it is hoped that British expats and people wanting to visit the north of England will be able to benefit from lower prices from both providers.

Then from November 7, easyJet will begin a new service between Zurich and the holiday destination and wine Mecca of Bordeaux, again competing with SWISS. The international company confirmed that both routes will be served year-round.

Geneva to get direct flights to Tromsø: The Gateway to the Arctic

Zurich won’t be the only Swiss city to get a good helping of new budget flights: from November 7, easyJet will fly direct between Basel and London Luton Airport all year round as opposed to seasonally.

When it comes to Geneva, easyJet confirmed that it would be offering two new routes from late 2024 and early 2025. For those who missed the Northern Lights in Switzerland, the company will launch a new direct flight between Cointrin and Tromsø in Norway.

Finally, residents of the alpine nation will be given an easy way to visit the rolling green hills and drystone walls of Yorkshire, with the company set to launch direct flights between Geneva and Leeds-Bradford Airport from January 18. However, you’ll have to be quick to visit “God’s own county”, as these flights will only be active during the winter season.
