Jazzaar
Jazzaar is an outstanding jazz festival that takes place each year in the city of Aarau. This year marks the 31st edition of the festival, which will likely appeal to fans of Latin jazz! Immerse yourself in the music, whether you sit back and relax at a concert or an open rehearsal, or take part in a workshop with prominent masters of the art form.
Jazz masters performing alongside jazz stars of the future
Not only is the festival renowned for welcoming eminent jazz musicians to its stage each year, but it also encourages the next generation of musicians with its youth programme, Bandstand Learning with Role Models.
The high-point of this year's festival is arguably the Cuban Spirit concert that takes place on April 21 at Aarau Culture and Congress House. Guest musicians such as Gonzalo Rubalcaba on piano, the vocalist Johana Jo Jones, bassist Oscar Stagnaro and percussionist Paulo Stagnaro will join the Jazzaar Festival Latin Band for this feast for the ears, full of samba beats and cool Cuban rhythms.
